Dried fruit balls

So with the holiday season behind us, January is usually the time of year we try to be healthy or at least much healthier than we inevitably were in December!

Yesterday, I had a go at making this delicious dried fruit snack (recipe adapted from February 2011 Good Food). So simple yet so yummy!

Recipe (made 11 but depends on the size)
75g Dried Cherries
75g Dried Apricots
150g Dried Dates
4 tbls Sesame Seeds

1. Put all the dried fruit in a blender (I found that the liquidiser part worked a lot better than the main food processor bowl)
2. Mould into walnut sized balls (be prepared to get very sticky hands at this point!)
3. Toast the sesame seeds in a dry frying pan
4. Roll the balls in the seeds until well coated
5. Enjoy!
